ABOUT THE PROJECT

The aim of the project is to organise the international congress EurBee 10. The congress will gather over 300 participants and feature keynote lectures and submitted abstract presentations to cover recent trends in various strands of pollination. Its main goal is to provide attendees with a high-level and multifaceted programme of lectures from top specialists in the field with a special focus on Early Career Researchers. The congress will provide a platform for communicating for researchers, academics, beekeepers, practitioners.

The EurBee10 Congress takes place on 16-19 September 2024 in Tallinn. The purpose of the project is to hold a congress on par with the quality of previous congresses, where the participants will receive collegial support, tools, and educational input in the field of pollination and the opportunity to network. As many participants will be in Estonia for the first time, the social programme contains paid as well as free of charge excursions in the city centre of Tallinn, a bog and beekeeping locations in Tallinn. As a result, awareness of Estonia as a tourism and conference destination will increase.​

The Estonian University of Life Sciences is funded with 30,000 EUR by Enterprise Estonia (EAS) from the European Union European Regional Development Fund to organize the EurBee 10 Congress.
